LaCrosse Burly 18" Realtree Timber Insulated Rubber Hunting Boots

The LaCrosse Burly Rubber Hunting boot is the cold-weather standard for hunters who operate in the shadows of the woods and the depths of the marsh. This 18-inch boot takes the legendary durability of the original 1963 Burly design and updates it with Realtree Timber™—the most lifelike camouflage for flooded timber. With its deep, dark bark cuts and realistic depth, this boot ensures you remain invisible to wary waterfowl and big game alike.

Inside, the boot is lined with polymeric foam insulation to trap heat and block out the chill of frozen ground and icy water. Built from proprietary ZXT Rubber, the Burly resists the ozone and tearing that causes cheaper boots to fail. The signature Ankle Fit™ construction locks your heel securely in place, eliminating the "boot suck" of deep mud and ensuring a silent, comfortable trek to your blind or stand.

FEATURES:

  • Realtree Timber™ Camouflage: Specifically engineered to disrupt your outline in dark, flooded timber and hardwood forests, providing maximum concealment from every angle.

  • Foam Insulation: Featuring a layer of polymeric foam for "Cool to Cold" weather protection, keeping your feet warm during stationary hunts without the bulk of heavy felt.
  • ZXT Rubber Technology: Hand-laid, premium rubber formulated to be ozone and tear resistant, ensuring your boots stay waterproof through seasons of heavy use.

  • Signature Ankle Fit™: A specialized narrowed ankle design that grips the foot and locks the heel in place to prevent rubbing, blisters, and slipping in thick mud.

  • 100% Waterproof Integrity: Seamless construction provides a total barrier against snow, slush, and standing water.
  • Adjustable Top Strap: A gusseted collar with a cam-lock buckle allows for a customized fit around the calf to keep out debris and cold air.

  • Self-Cleaning Traction: The chevron cleated outsole provides reliable grip on slick banks and quickly sheds mud as you walk.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • How warm is the foam insulation?
The Burly is rated for "Cool to Cold" weather. It is warmer than the uninsulated Grange but not as heavily insulated as the 1600G Thinsulate boots. It is the perfect balance for active hunters who generate body heat while walking but need protection from freezing water.

  • Is this boot good for duck hunting?
Yes. The Realtree Timber™ pattern was specifically designed for flooded timber environments, and the 18-inch height provides plenty of clearance for wading in shallow water or marshes.

  • How does ZXT Rubber compare to standard rubber?
ZXT is LaCrosse's high-content natural rubber blend. It is significantly more resistant to "checking" (cracking from sun/ozone exposure) and tearing than the synthetic rubber used in budget-tier boots.

  • Does it have a safety toe?
No. This is a Plain Toe boot designed for hunting and general outdoor work where a steel or composite toe is not required.
