The Danner Wildland Tactical Firefighter Black Smooth-Out Boots represents a new era in fire protection, blending the lightweight agility of an alpine hiker with the uncompromising safety standards of a certified fire boot. Handcrafted in Danner’s Portland, Oregon factory, this boot is built for the men and women who protect our wilderness on rugged, high-angle terrain.
Unlike heavy traditional loggers, the Wildland Tactical Firefighter utilizes a WTF Platform Construction, combining a full-length polypropylene board with an integrated steel shank for superior rigidity and stability underfoot. The upper is constructed from fire-resistant, smooth-out leather bonded to the outsole via reinforced Opanka-stitching. To prevent overheating during intense fire line operations, this model features a breathable mesh lining (non-waterproof) for maximum airflow.
FEATURES:
- Made in USA with Imported Components: Danner sources the world's best materials and performs partial assembly overseas before completing the boot by hand in Portland, Oregon. This ensures premium quality at a competitive value.
- Fire-Resistant Smooth-Out Leather: The durable leather upper is chemically treated to resist flame and heat, ensuring long-lasting protection near the fire line.
- Vibram® S587 Fire & Ice Outsole: A specialized compound that stays flexible in extreme cold and maintains traction in high heat. The lug pattern is engineered for grip on steep, loose terrain.
- Breathable Mesh Lining: Designed for warm-to-cool weather, the lightweight mesh lining promotes rapid air circulation to keep feet cool. (Note: This boot is Non-Waterproof).
